April is full of important events!
Easter, this year on Sunday April 12, always draws a lot of visitors to the marvellous Venice, and the month of April is undoubtedly one of the best times to visit our city: temperatures are pleasant and there is not the typical overcrowding of the summer months.
The “Su and Zo per i Ponti” is an event that every year involves thousands of people in a walk of solidarity through the streets of Venice: a festive crowd of young and old, families, school groups, groups, sports associations, all united in one a day dedicated to aggregation, friendship and solidarity.
To conclude the month, one of the most important festivals for our city: April 25th Venice celebrates the patron saint, San Marco
The Basilica of San Marco is the fulcrum of the festivities: masses and religious rites follow one another from morning to evening: the saint is venerated, processions are carried out, in which the principal religious and civil authorities of the city of Venice take part.
A further reason of celebration for all the Venetians: April 25th is celebrated the day of love, in a splendid setting such as the lagoon city, which for the occasion wears the evening dress, is tinged with the floral polychrome of the roses that young lovers give their own half. Not just Italians: couples from all over the world meet in Venice for a romantic weekend in one of the most enchanting cities on earth.
