The Palazzo Ducale, formerly also Palazzo Dogale as it was the seat of the doge, one of the symbols of the city of Venice and a masterpiece of Venetian Gothic.
Located in the heart of the city, it was built to cross the Grand Canal, the most important artery of Venice, in what was, and is, the commercial district.
The Bridge was commissioned by the Doge Marino Grimani, whose coat of arms it bears, in 1602, to connect Palazzo Ducale to the building of the New Prisons.
The Fontego dei Tedeschi is back: after eight years of closure and three of construction, it reopens as a luxury hub and with a new name, T Fondaco: T for "travelers", the chain of super luxury shopping centers signed all over the world by Dfs Duty Free, to which Edizioni Holding of the Benetton family.
The Basilica of San Marco is the marvelous building which is the symbol of the magnificence and greatness of the Republic of Venice during the thousand years of life of the Serenissima.
